The pump-out tank
A wastewater holding tank provides no treatment and no discharge: its full volume has to be removed by tanker every time it fills. Pump-outs become a permanent, recurring expense that scales with usage.
Traditional septic tank + soakaway / drain field
A drain or soakaway works only until the biomat clogs it. Once infiltration capacity is lost, effluent can no longer leave the tank it backs up and forces recurrent pump-outs, while the saturated soakaway contaminates the surrounding soil and groundwater.
